Senior Audio Visual (AV) Installation Technician
Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Audio Visual / Low Voltage Installation Technicians to support a large-scale commercial AV deployment in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This project includes the installation of large-format displays, projection systems, conferencing technology, ceiling-mounted speakers, structured cabling, AV rack installation, and conference room technology. The ideal candidate has extensive experience installing commercial AV systems and takes pride in delivering clean, professional installations with exceptional cable management.
This is a hands-on installation role. An AV Engineer will be responsible for final system programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Display Installation
-
Install 19 commercial displays ranging from 55" to 98".

Potential installation of a 136" All-in-One LED Wall.

Install displays using a combination of:
-
Heavy-duty full-motion articulating wall mounts.
-
Ultra-slim low-profile wall mounts.
-
Ensure displays are securely mounted, level, and professionally installed.
Projection System Installation
-
Install one Da-Lite 200" Large Format Tensioned Advantage Deluxe Projection Screen.
-
Install associated low-voltage screen control switch.
-
Mount projection screen utilizing Unistrut and threaded rod attached to structural slab.
-
Install one Epson PowerLite Projector approximately 25 feet from the projection screen.
-
Secure projector using Unistrut and threaded rod suspension system.
AV Camera Installation
-
Install one Logitech Rally Camera mounted to the ceiling.
-
Position camera approximately 25 feet from the projection screen.
-
Ensure proper mounting, alignment, and cable routing.
Audio System Installation
-
Install and connect 20 JBL Control 26C 6.5" Ceiling Speakers.
-
Perform speaker installation within 12-foot suspended ceiling.
-
Route speaker cabling from the AV rack to all speaker locations.
-
Ensure clean cable routing and proper support above ceiling.
Conference Room Technology
Install and connect Google Meet conference room systems throughout seven conference rooms, including:

ASUS Google Meet Compute Systems
-
Large Room Kits
-
Small/Medium Room Kits
-
Tabletop microphones
-
Professional cable management behind displays and beneath conference tables
Training Room Installation includes:

Logitech Rally Bar
-
Logitech Tap IP
-
Logitech Rally Bar TV Mount
-
Two Logitech Mic Pods (ceiling-mounted)
-
HDMI over Ethernet connection from display to podium
-
Professional cable management behind displays and supporting equipment
Structured Cabling & AV Rack Build
-
Rack and stack AV equipment within designated storage room.
-
Install Cat6 cabling from displays, projectors, encoders, and decoders back to the AV equipment rack.
-
Install speaker wiring from rack-mounted amplifiers to all ceiling speaker locations.
-
Dress, label, bundle, and secure all cabling using industry best practices.
-
Prepare equipment racks for final AV Engineer commissioning.
Installation Quality
-
Maintain clean, organized, and professional cable management throughout the project.
-
Verify all equipment is securely mounted and properly supported.
-
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
-
Follow all customer safety requirements and installation standards.

Coordinate with project leadership and AV Engineer throughout installation.
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum 3–5 years of commercial Audio Visual installation experience.
-
Experience installing commercial displays ranging from 55" to 98".
-
Experience mounting large projection screens and projectors.
-
Experience installing commercial conferencing systems.
-
Experience installing ceiling-mounted speakers.
-
Experience building and dressing AV equipment racks.
-
Strong structured cabling and cable management experience.
-
Experience routing Cat6 and speaker cabling above suspended ceilings.
-
Comfortable working from ladders and lifts.
-
Ability to interpret floor plans, elevations, and installation drawings.
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and install displays weighing up to 100 pounds (team lift required for larger displays).

Ability to safely work from ladders and personnel lifts.

Ability to install equipment above suspended ceilings.
-
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work overhead for extended periods.
-
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Pay: $35.00 per hour
