The Production Technician is responsible for setting up and changing over of the equipment in the Manufacturing area and assisting in Manufacturing operations by operating equipment as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers on manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure equipment is properly set up before and during each job run.
- Monitor equipment performance during operation and help maintain optimal efficiency.
- Follow all procedures and operational guidelines outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Contact maintenance as needed when equipment issues arise during operation.
- Assist production and packaging teams with basic operations when requested by the shift supervisor or department manager.
- May operate equipment to cover for associates during breaks or when department is short staffed due call outs / scheduled vacations.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with encapsulation machines, tablet presses, and powder blending equipment preferred
- Proficiency with basic computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Fluency in the English language (both written and verbal).
- Able to perform repetitive lifting tasks.
- Flexibility for overtime when needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).
- Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours is this something you would be comfortable with
