We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Elementary English Teacher (Pre-K–3rd Grade) to join our school community. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for language and literacy while creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality English instruction, fostering strong communication skills, and helping students develop confidence in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and appropriate for Pre-K through 3rd-grade students.
- Teach foundational English language arts skills, including reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, listening, and speaking.
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, observations, and formal evaluations.
- Provide timely feedback to students and communicate progress effectively with parents and school administration.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, educational technology, and hands-on activities to enhance student engagement.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and effective communication skills.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.
- Provide additional support and intervention for students who may need academic assistance.
Requirements:
- BA Degree in English
- Valid teaching certification/license from the Puerto Rico Department of Education.
- Experience teaching English at the preschool and/or elementary level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood and elementary literacy development.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools is a plus.
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the mission and values of the school.

Pay: $1,850.00 - $2,200.00 per month
