Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, a Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will help clients maintain their independence and dignity while ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences
- Monitor and remind clients to take medications (no medication administration unless certified)
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings, as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up
- Communicate clearly in Spanish with the client and family members
- Maintain records of care and report any changes in health or behavior
Requirements:
- Bilingual Spanish a plus; English proficiency preferred
- Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or personal care assistant (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist with mobility
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if transportation is needed)
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Must pass a background check and provide references
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Familiarity with common conditions like dementia, diabetes, or mobility impairments
- Spanish bilingual speaking a plus
- Car is a plus
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
