Job Summary
Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse & Receiving Forklift Driver, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within our distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be safely operating various types of heavy equipment—including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks—to load, unload, and move materials efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to warehouse distribution processes, support order picking activities, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help maintain seamless warehouse management and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments.
- Assist with order picking using electric order pickers and other warehouse management system tools to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
- Support warehouse management by organizing materials handling activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring proper storage practices.
- Load and unload incoming shipments and prepare outgoing deliveries while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate distribution tasks and improve overall workflow efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of all shipping and receiving activities, including inbound/outbound logs and incident reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly ( 50 POUNDS )
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations or warehouse distribution is preferred.
