Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join Physician-led Endocrinology private practice dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with diabetes, thyroid, and other hormonal conditions. We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and patient-centered Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting, supporting clinical function. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical histories.
- Managing EMR and assisting with prior authorizations and referrals
- Coordinate DME orders and prescription refill
- Ability to handle patients messages promptly, with support from the Physician
- Educating patients on medication use (Specially Diabetes Disorders)
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans and instructions.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Previous experience in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- BLS certification required (or willingness to obtain)
