Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies and specialty beverages with precision and flair.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and light snacks according to safety standards.
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
- Support food handling procedures and retail math calculations for accurate sales recording and inventory management.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; strong cash handling skills are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math for sales transactions.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
