Job Summary
As a Dietary Aide/Cook, you will assist in the preparation and service of meals to our residents, ensuring that dietary needs are met in a safe, clean, and respectful environment. This Dietary Aide/Cook role plays an important part in enhancing residents' dining experiences and supporting their nutritional well-being.
Dietary Aide/Cook Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and residents' preferences
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and equipment, following health and safety protocols
- Engage with residents respectfully, addressing their dietary needs and preferences with a friendly attitude
- Adhere to all dietary procedures, facility policies, and state/federal regulations
Dietary Aide/Cook Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Food Handler certification
- Prior experience in a dietary, kitchen, or food service role is a plus, especially in a long-term care or healthcare setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
