Role Overview
We’re looking for a highly organized, fast-moving Designer with 5+ years of experience supporting commercial interiors projects, ideally within healthcare environments and dealer-based workflows. This role requires someone who can balance speed, accuracy, technical documentation, and client-facing professionalism across multiple concurrent projects.
The ideal candidate understands the realities of a dealer environment: tight timelines, revisions, coordination across vendors/manufacturers, and the ability to move projects from concept through specification and installation support.
Key Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years of commercial interior design experience
- Dealer experience strongly preferred 3-5 years at least
- Healthcare project experience ideal
- Experience supporting projects from programming through installation
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable communicating with multiple team members for priorities
Technical / Industry Skills
- CET required
- Specification writing experience required
- Strong knowledge of furniture specification and ancillary products
- Experience with:
- Project Matrix workflows (Can have CAP knowledge, as will translate to Spec)
- Furniture package development
- Customer's Own Material (COM's)
- Finish coordination
- Installation drawing review
- Familiarity with major manufacturers:
- MillerKnoll
- Kimball International
- OFS
- Healthcare specific manufacturers ideal
- Etc.
- Space planning and egress standards awareness
Software
- CET (required)
- AutoCAD
- Project Matrix Suite (ideal)
- CAP / Worksheet experience is acceptable as it will help translate to Spec quickly
- Microsoft Office / Excel
- CORE (ideal)

Responsibilities
- Develop furniture plans and specifications
- Create CET drawings and presentation packages
- Coordinate finishes, fabrics, and product selections
- Support quoting and specification processes
- Work closely with sales and project management teams
- Review projects for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendor reps
- Support installation documentation and issue resolution
- Maintain project schedules and deadlines
- Assist with client presentations and design meetings
