Job Summary
As a Visitor Services team member, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall guest experience at the Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum. You will be responsible for assisting visitors, handling cash transactions, managing guest inquiries, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide information about JFGM's events and programs
- Process ticket sales and handle cash transactions accurately
- Assist guests with inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate guest services efficiently
-Process memberships, admission ticket sales and gift shop sales
-Assist with cultural events, programming, check-in for classes/workshops
-Work as event staff for weddings or corporate events. This requires weekend/evening availability.
Requirements
- Weekends required. Looking to hire a candidate with open availability.
-Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or non-profit preferred.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Public speaking skills
