PEEK Builders is the self-performing general contractor for all of PEEK Properties' multifamily development projects. PEEK Builder's also performs as a third party general contractor for other multifamily developers.
PEEK Builders is seeking a Construction Superintendent with at least 5 years experience in podium construction to be the onsite person in control on the project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Generate and maintain two week look ahead schedules.
* Conduct weekly sub-contractor meetings.
* Track onsite activities and share daily report with managers at the end of the day.
* Maintain on-site safety by assuring sub-contractors are following PPE policies.
* Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals as required.
* Proficiency with Bluebeam, scaling and measuring is required.
* Create a "required on the job" material list working with the 2 week and 1 month look ahead. PM will support and will be a group effort.
* Identify changes in scope of work and work directly with the Sr. Project Manager to implement changes as necessary.
* Familiar with invert elevations, NAVD 88 and capable of interpreting concrete elevations and thicknesses.
* Basic field layout using measuring tape, square, lasers and other equipment to establish and ensure dimensions as required.
* Manage all day-to-day activities at the site.
* Able to interpret drawings and common construction nomenclature. Understanding of how to coordinate elevations of MEPs. Responsible for coordinating from submittals, establishing site layout, verifying dimensions and as builts.
* Establish axis lines for layout and communicating to sub-contractors on how to use them.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
+10 years experience in ground up multifamily construction experience. Podium style construction is strongly preferred.
Graduate from an accredited four year college with major coursework in construction science, engineering, architecture or other related field and/or equivalent experience.
Monday to Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM at the jobsite typically or until activities are completed for the day. Superintendent is responsible for locking the jobsite daily
Advance knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- OSHA 30
- 4 hour scaffold user (preferred)
- CPR or AED (preferred)
