Supervisors are hourly tipped employees responsible for overseeing the execution of operational functions within the business, and acting as a direct leader to Bakers and Experts. Supervisors report directly to Management.
Supervisor Responsibilities include, but are not limited to these points in addition to Baker Responsibilities:

Read, understand, follow, and model all company policies consistently

Establish a safe, secure, inclusive, welcoming, and healthy environment for employees and customers

Ensure Bakers are meeting performance expectations, brand and company standards, and food safety standards at all times

Efficiently and proactively plan workload for employees and delegate tasks as needed
-
Clearly communicate information and instructions to employees
-
Consistently meet or exceed communicated deadlines
-
Train new and existing Bakers to perform required tasks efficiently with high quality
-
Coach Bakers as needed to meet expectations

Partner with Management on escalated Baker Performance Management as needed
-
Effectively handle customer service issues and complaints, partnering with Management if further escalation is needed

Support inventory processing and organization to meet all company and food safety standards

Share observations, idea-share, and provide feedback upward to Management
-
Open and close the store including assurance of physical security of the building
-
Cash handling responsibilities including counting the drawer, daily deposits, and processing change
-
React quickly to situations that require immediate attention
-
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in a fast-paced environment
-
Consistently provide reliability with high integrity and a strong work ethic
Supervisor Requirements and Essential Functions include, but are not limited to these points in addition to Baker and Expert Functions:

Be at least 18 years of age

Possession of or ability to obtain a valid ServSafe Food Handler’s Permit
-
Safely handle and work in close proximity to food allergens including milk, egg, nuts, wheat, soy, and sesame
-
Safely use and be in contact with industrial cleaning chemicals and supplies
-
Ability to work in a hot, hectic, and loud environment for entire shifts - up to 8 hours
-
Stand, walk, bend, crouch, and use hands (gross and fine manipulation) for entire shifts - up to 8 hours
-
Frequently lift, push, or pull heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds and move them up to 20 feet without assistance

Frequently climb up and down a stepladder while accessing, balancing, and/or carrying items (including overhead) weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
-
Handle and operate industrial appliances including mixers, ovens, chillers, and freezers
-
Basic math, computer, and reading comprehension skills
-
Fluent in English for both verbal and written communications

Clarity of vision including but not limited to near visual activity (20 inches or less) and far visual activity (20 feet or more)

The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in-person, over a telephone, and virtually through videos or recordings
-
Ability to work up to 40 hours in a work week (Monday-Saturday)
