We're hiring an IT Technician to support a regional healthcare network. You'll work from our Sharon office each day, handling escalated Tier 2 issues remotely and traveling to facilities across the region when hands-on support is needed. Because our end users are clinical and administrative staff, uptime, and careful documentation matter — a workstation that won't connect is someone unable to chart a patient.
The right person is comfortable across Windows desktop and server environments, knows their way around a network stack, and writes clearly enough that the next technician can pick up where they left off. Linux experience is welcome but not required.
What You'll Do
- Provide remote and onsite support to users across the network's facilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2012 R2 through 2025)
- Diagnose hardware, software, and network problems end to end
- Install, monitor, and troubleshoot backup systems
- Review system logs, configurations, and error reports to identify root cause
- Follow Tier 2 playbooks and escalate cleanly when an issue exceeds them
- Capture reliable reproduction steps and identify workflow bottlenecks from the end user's perspective
- Document tickets thoroughly — screenshots, screen recordings, log files, and the systems affected
- Maintain knowledge base articles so recurring issues get faster to solve
- Handle patient data in accordance with HIPAA and organizational security policy
What You Need
- 2+ years in an IT Technician, Desktop Support, or comparable role
- Solid working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2012 R2–2025)

- Hands-on experience with backup platforms (Veeam, Datto, Acronis, or similar)
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot analytically
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to regional sites up to 25% of the time
Nice to Have
- Linux administration or support (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat)
- Ticketing systems (ConnectWise, ServiceNow, Jira, Autotask)
- Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, M365)
- Healthcare IT experience — EHR support, clinical workstations, or medical device connectivity
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, or equivalent
