Position:
Title: Tree Trimmer
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Type: Full-time, Non-exempt
Responsibilities:
- Uses handsaws, pruning hooks, sheers, and clippers to prune and manage growth of trees and shrubs.
- Trims, tops, and reshapes trees
- Removes dead and excess branches from trees and/or from around power lines.
- Operates truck-mounted lifts, pruners, and other necessary equipment and tools.
- Climbs trees or ladders to access work areas using climbing hooks or belts as needed.
- Maintains tools and equipment by cleaning, sharpening, and lubricating.
- Safely operates shredding and chipping equipment, feeding limbs and brush into machines.
- Adheres to all applicable safety rules and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of previous landscaping experience
- Ability to climb up to 20 feet with climbing spikes
- Ability to operate a lift
- Must have own tools related to tree trimming and climbing gear **tool reimbursement provided
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
