Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate expertise in various nursing practices. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients across different age groups, including toddlers and seniors, while ensuring their safety and comfort. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for triaging patients, managing critical care transport, and delivering infectious disease care as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care effectively.
- Provide direct patient care in inpatient settings, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct venipuncture for blood draws and other necessary procedures.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate records using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
Experience
- Previous experience in critical care transport or infectious disease care is preferred.
- Familiarity with toddler care practices is a plus.
- Proven ability to provide senior care with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong skills in venipuncture and other clinical procedures are essential.
- Experience working in inpatient settings is highly desirable.
- Must possess a valid nursing license and relevant certifications.
