Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various painting tasks in both commercial and construction environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of painting techniques, ableness to work with a team, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. This position requires a commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary.
- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment.
- Follow blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate application of colors and finishes.
- Utilize power tools safely for various tasks related to painting and finishing work.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction painting techniques, including commercial painting applications.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety measures.
- Experience with power tools used in painting and finishing tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications effectively.
- Understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic results.
- Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities accurately.
- Trim carpentry skills are a plus for completing finishing touches on projects.
