NATURE OF WORKFairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources professional to serve as our HR Generalist – Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Training & Credentialing. This position plays a critical role in ensuring FMH attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing workforce while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements. The HR Generalist manages full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, new hire orientation, employee training, learning management system administration, credentialing compliance, competency tracking, and performance management support. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to creating an exceptional employee experience while supporting FMH's mission and values.
Lead full cycle recruitment activities from job posting through offer acceptance
Develop recruitment strategies and sourcing initiatives to attract qualified candidates.
Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and partner with hiring managers on candidate selection.
Monitor recruitment metrics and recommend process improvements.
Coordinate recruitment marketing and workforce planning initiatives.
Manage onboarding processes to ensure a positive and compliant new hire experience.
Coordinate background checks, licensure verification, occupational health clearance, and required pre-employment screenings.
Facilitate new employee orientation and ensure completion of required documentation.
Partner with department leaders to support effective onboarding plans and workforce integration.
Serve as the primary administrator of the Learning Management System (LMS).
Manage training assignments, compliance education, annual competencies, and mandatory learning requirements.
Track employee training completion and provide compliance reporting.
Develop and update educational resources supporting organizational and regulatory requirements
Maintain credentialing files for licensed, certified, and registered staff.
Conduct primary source verification of licenses, certifications, and education.
Monitor expiration dates and ensure regulatory compliance.
Prepare records and reports for accreditation surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews
Administer performance evaluation processes and documentation.
Support leaders with performance management tools and best practices.
Conduct stay interviews and assist with employee retention initiatives.
Analyze workforce data and recommend engagement and development strategies
Support HR initiatives, special projects, and workforce development programs
