Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Packer/Utility team member to join our manufacturing facility. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for efficiently packing finished products, preparing materials for shipment, and supporting various utility functions across the production line. Responsibilities
- Operate packaging equipment and assist with assembly processes to ensure products are packed accurately and efficiently according to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Handle materials and finished goods using material handling equipment such as forklifts, ensuring safe and proper movement within the warehouse and production areas.
- Interpret production documents, labels, and work orders to verify correct packaging specifications and quantities.
- Perform routine mechanical troubleshooting on packaging machinery and industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards in production environments, including safety protocol adherence, heavy lifting techniques, and proper use of hand tools.
- Support warehouse operations by organizing inventory, performing stock counts, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations.
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as loading/unloading shipments, ensuring proper storage of raw materials and finished products.
- Follow manufacturing facility safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of material handling equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with packaging equipment, industrial machinery troubleshooting, and assembly processes is highly advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and safety standards in production environments.
- Experience operating forklift or other material handling equipment is a plus; forklift certification is desirable.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills related to industrial equipment or packaging machinery are beneficial.
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions diligently.
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a clean, organized workspace in compliance with manufacturing standards.
