BUYER
Full-Time | On-Site | $24.00 – $32.00 / hr DOE
We’re hiring a Buyer to support day-to-day procurement operations for a manufacturing environment. You’ll own the purchasing process end-to-end — sourcing materials, processing POs, tracking orders, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to keep production on schedule. This is a detail-driven role that requires someone who can manage multiple priorities at once without things falling through the cracks.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Purchasing & Procurement
• Source and procure materials to support active jobs and replenish stock inventory
• Create, process, and distribute purchase orders in line with project timelines
• Evaluate vendors on pricing, lead times, and product quality
Vendor Coordination
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers on order status and delivery schedules
• Build and sustain productive vendor relationships
• Assist with negotiating pricing and delivery terms
• Identify and vet alternative vendors and materials as needed
Order Tracking & Documentation
• Maintain accurate logs of open POs and expected delivery dates
• Provide timely updates to production, sales, and receiving teams
• Keep all purchasing documentation organized and current
Inventory Support
• Work with production and drafting teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Assist with material planning and inventory tracking
• Update supplier pricing and product specs in company systems
Issue Resolution
• Resolve discrepancies involving damaged goods, incorrect quantities, or billing errors
• Coordinate vendor credits, replacements, and corrective actions
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, or logistics — required
• 2+ years working with ERP or MRP software — required
• 3+ years preferred for candidates stepping into advanced purchasing responsibilities
• Background in manufacturing or construction procurement strongly preferred
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills & Attributes
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook proficiency
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management platforms
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong communication and vendor negotiation abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to manage multiple open orders simultaneously without losing track
• Self-motivated, dependable, and strong follow-through
