Located in beautiful North County San Diego in sunny Southern California, Rawhide Ranch is a one-of-a-kind ranch camp for kids. It is a completely unique, year-round youth camp program for kids ages 7-15. We have horses and livestock animals that kids ride and work while here, along with other traditional camp activities like archery and crafts. We are built like an old west town; however, it is our team that sets us apart!
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrative Specialist to join our team. This key role combines financial management with administrative support, ensuring accurate record-keeping and smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and possess excellent communication skills. You will handle a variety of tasks including bookkeeping, data entry, and customer service, contributing to a productive and positive work environment.
Duties
- Record daily transactions with precision including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and reimbursements.
- Maintain and manage the general ledger for accurate financial records.
- Reconcile and balance bank statements and credit card statements.
- Monitor cash flow to ensure adequate funds for daily operations.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Ensure Square data is accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Learn camp registration program to extract and reconcile this data to ensure the general ledger is accurate.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Prepare monthly and annual budget and financial reports.
- Pay sales tax
- Assist with preparing, printing, and distributing W-2 and W-9 documents.
- Organize and maintain filing systems, both digital and paper, to ensure quick retrieval of documents.
Support the Registrar with registrations, customer service, and financial tasks
Experience
- 3+ years of proven professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and basic IT troubleshooting.
- Self-starting, outgoing personality with strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
- Professional, inviting, and diplomatic demeanor across all communication channels (in person, phone, web).
- Proven ability to manage people, train others, work with diverse populations of all ages, and collaborate in teams.
- Experience in customer service involving phone communication and client interaction is advantageous.
- Must pass a Department of Justice (DOJ) Live Scan fingerprint background check
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
