We are looking for a Local Partnerships Manager to take ownership of our relationships with local businesses and help grow the Kennebunkport Brief through strategic advertising partnerships. You'll meet with business owners, learn about their goals, recommend sponsorship opportunities, and build long-term relationships that help both the business and our readers.
This is a 100% commission-based position with flexible hours and no set schedule. If you enjoy networking, supporting small businesses, and being out in the community, this could be a great fit.
Duties
- Prospect and connect with local businesses throughout Southern Maine.
- Meet with business owners to understand their goals and marketing needs.
- Present advertising and sponsorship opportunities within the Kennebunkport Brief.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with advertising partners.
- Coordinate with our team to ensure sponsored content accurately reflects each business.
- Follow up with partners throughout their campaigns and encourage renewals.
- Attend local networking events, community events, and chamber functions when appropriate.
- Help identify new industries and partnership opportunities that would benefit our readers.
Skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable meeting new people and initiating conversations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Organized and able to manage multiple client relationships.
- Sales, customer service, marketing, or business development experience is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for supporting local businesses and the Southern Maine community.
Compensation
- 100% commission-based.
- 25% commission on all advertising partnerships you bring in.
- Flexible payment structure (upfront or monthly, based on advertiser payment schedule).
- Ongoing commission opportunities on advertiser renewals.

Pay: $25,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
