The Role & Your Impact
We are seeking a part-time Armed Security Officer to safeguard a high-end jewelry boutique in Boca Raton. This role is critical to loss prevention, deterrence, and ensuring a safe, controlled environment for clients, staff, and assets.
You will serve as a visible, professional deterrent presence, while maintaining readiness to respond appropriately to security threats. This role requires a balance of tactical awareness, customer interaction, and disciplined judgment in a high-value retail setting.
This position is ideal for individuals with prior military or law enforcement experience who understand situational control, threat assessment, and professional conduct under pressure.
Core Responsibilities
Armed Security & Asset Protection (Primary Function)
- Maintain a strong, visible armed presence to deter theft and criminal activity
- Safeguard high-value merchandise, displays, and inventory
- Monitor entry and exit points to ensure controlled access
- Identify suspicious behavior and respond proactively within protocol
- Maintain constant situational awareness in a luxury retail environment
Incident Response & Risk Mitigation
- Respond to incidents using sound judgment, de-escalation, and proper force protocols
- Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary
- Execute emergency response procedures (robbery, panic alarms, suspicious activity)
- Protect life and property while minimizing risk to clients and staff
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports
Client Experience & Professional Presence
- Provide a calm, professional, and reassuring presence for clientele
- Interact respectfully with high-net-worth clients and boutique staff
- Maintain polished appearance and demeanor consistent with luxury retail standards
- Balance security enforcement with discretion and customer service
Team Contribution & Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with store management and security leadership
- Share observations to improve safety procedures and risk mitigation strategies
- Uphold accountability, professionalism, and discipline at all times
- Support a culture of precision, awareness, and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Professional RequirementsRequired
- Valid Florida Class D & G Security Licenses (Armed)
- Prior Military or Law Enforcement Background (Strongly Preferred / Expected)
- Minimum 3 years security experience (armed or high-risk environments preferred)
- Experience in retail, luxury, or asset protection environments is a plus
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
- Professional communication and report writing ability
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and respond quickly to incidents
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening
- Must pass criminal and role-relevant background check
- 21 years of age or older
- U.S. Citizen or authorized to work with valid documentation
Preferred
- Military combat arms, MP, or law enforcement patrol experience
- Experience in high-value retail or jewelry security
- Training in de-escalation, use of force, and threat recognition
- CPR/AED and first aid certification
- Experience with CCTV and alarm systems
- Prior experience working armed posts in public-facing environments

Compensation
- $25.00 per hour
- Guaranteed 17 hours per week (subject to holidays or operational closures)
- Paid training at full hourly rate

Work Schedule
Part-Time Schedule (17 Hours Per Week)
- Wednesday and Fridays 9:30am-6pm,
- OFF Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
