About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Medical Assistant to support the Directors of Nursing in our Home Health and Hospice programs. In this key support role, you'll assist with workflow tracking, process optimization, and system coordination — ensuring that clinical operations run smoothly and efficiently.
You must have a foundational understanding of medical terminology, be comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and be quick to learn Homecare Homebase. A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to take direction from the clinicalteam are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in tracking and organizing nursing workflows across Home Health and Hospice services.
- Support the Directors of Nursing in monitoring compliance, documentation timelines, and clinical processes.
- Use Homecare Homebase to input, review, and manage clinical and operational data.
- Create and maintain shared documents using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure timely follow-up and task completion.
- Help implement process improvements and support project rollouts.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical background required.
- Prior experience in home health or hospice preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive tools.
- Quick learner of healthcare software — Homecare Homebase experience is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Able to take direction from nursing leaders and maintain clear communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, solutions-focused attitude.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
