Meeting Street is currently looking for a Curriculum Coordinator position for 35 hours per week.
Duties:

Provides job embedded professional development for all teachers, K-8 on creating units of study in social studies with the thread of systemic and present racism and the ways that it affects our history and present day, utilizing course of study adopted by The Grace School

Provides guidance to teachers in the development of lesson plans and instructional materials that consistently contain diverse content throughout the academic year.

Demonstrates concepts and strategies using models, talk, reflective writing, and other available resources including technology.

Knowledge of authentic assessment practices using strategies to mitigate stereotype threat in feedback, assessment, and grading.

Responsible for documenting social studies units of study for grades K-8

Supports teachers, K-8, in teaching grammar within the context of writing

Supports the teaching of science in middle school and the development of performance-based assessment practices.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with certification from RIDE or the ability to obtain.

Organizational skills include developing effective classroom schedule for teaching, learning, assessing, etc.

Culturally influenced effective communication skills

Proficient technological skills for platforms such as but not limited to Zoom, Google Classroom, MS Word, etc.

Work environment and physical requirements are consistent with those of a typical school environment.

Ability to move about the classroom and building continuously throughout the workday.

Utilize the Computer (20%) of the time and other office equipment.

Position hours: Monday, Thursday, and Friday: 8AM to 3PM; Tuesday and Wednesday: 9AM to 4PM
