American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 5+ years of L&D experience and rotating night shifts on a 36/48 schedule.

Acute care hospital setting, working across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
-
Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a on a rotating 36/48 schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)

Every other weekend required

Floating required within scope of practice

Meditech EMR in use

Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Active KY RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring

Minimum 5 years of current, recent L&D experience in an acute care setting

Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery required

Driver's license with address matching permanent address required for consideration

2 professional references required: at least 1 Charge Nurse or higher and 1 supervisor, both completed within the past year

Middle name required (or confirmation that no middle name exists)

Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis

Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted

Must be willing and able to work either a major or minor holiday each holiday period

Travelers who have worked within the system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return

Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit

Any license discrepancies or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
