Job Summary
Support Innovation Through Financial Operations and Compliance Excellence
The University of Kentucky is seeking an IP Finance and Compliance Officer Associate to support the financial, reporting, and compliance activities that underpin the university’s intellectual property and technology commercialization efforts.
This position sits at the intersection of financial administration, compliance management, and technology commercialization, helping ensure accurate financial tracking, regulatory compliance, and reliable reporting across a wide portfolio of intellectual property assets and agreements.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and support the financial administration of the university’s intellectual property portfolio
- Maintain financial records, process invoices and payments, and assist with revenue distribution activities
- Monitor and track financial obligations associated with licensing and commercialization agreements
- Support iEdison reporting and federal compliance requirements for sponsored inventions and technologies
- Perform financial reconciliations and assist with audit preparation and compliance reviews
- Maintain data integrity across SAP, docketing systems, and departmental tracking tools
- Develop reports and provide data to support financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making
- Assist with process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and compliance monitoring

Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree
- 3 years of relevant experience in financial administration, compliance, accounting, or related functions
