Job description:
Ghost RX is looking for Outpatient Care Registered Nurses for coverage at the Indian Health Services- Ft. Yuma Health Center in Winterhaven, CA.
Local Rates - $50/HR
Work Hours
- Monday 8:00 AM to Friday 5:00 PM
Requirements
- minimum of 2 year of experience as a registered nurse, with 2 years of experience ideally in Outpatient/Ambulatory Care
- A.S. Degree from an Accredited Nursing School Program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, preferred
- Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Any state Nurse License is accepted
Essential Duties
- Perform nursing assessments and patient triage.
- Obtain medical histories and perform focused physical assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and notify providers as appropriate.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, chronic disease management, preventive care, and discharge instructions.
- Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies occurring within the clinic.
- Follow all IHS, OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission policies and procedures.
- Complete all mandatory training and competency requirements.
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
