Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to ensure accurate stock placement
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision, utilizing order picking and packing techniques to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular stock counts and updating inventory management software and ERP systems
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely while adhering to trade compliance and safety protocols
- Record data entry details into warehouse management systems like AS400 or MRP software to track inventory movements
- Assist with shipping logistics, including preparing shipping labels, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers for timely dispatch
- Support warehouse operations by stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP software, and inventory management tools
- Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, logistics, and international trade regulations when applicable
- Excellent data entry skills combined with basic math abilities for accurate counting and measurement tasks
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred), pallet jacks, and RF scanners
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, order picking, and load & unload activities
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal departments or external carriers
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operations including stocking, packaging, trade compliance, and safety standards
