Overview

Duties
- Set up and operate SMT machinery for the placement of surface-mount components on PCBs, adhering to production schedules.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and IPC 610 standards to ensure accurate assembly and soldering processes.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal machine performance.
- Inspect assembled PCBs using calipers, ohmmeters, and other hand tools to verify component placement, solder joints, and electrical connections.
- Follow detailed work instructions and schematics to assemble electrical panels and electro-mechanical components with precision.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with IPC 610 standards for soldering and assembly quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation, documenting production data and reporting any issues or defects promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in PCB assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), or electronics manufacturing is highly preferred.
- 5 years Previous experience operating SMT equipment (e.g., Panasonic, Fuji, Yamaha, Juki, or similar) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematic reading, interpretation of blueprints, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical blueprint reading.
- Skilled in soldering techniques, including hand soldering and rework on surface-mount components.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand electro-mechanical assembly requirements.
- Proficient in using hand tools such as calipers, power tools, wire strippers, and screwdrivers; experience with machining is a plus.
- Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly quality assurance.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
