Job Summary: Provide friendly, competent service to members and guests, in a quiet dining environment. Option to work days, evenings, weekends, banquets and/or special events. Pay is based on hourly wages + tips.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Perform set-up, clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
· Familiarize oneself with all selections on menu to be able to recommend appetizers, meals, desserts and drinks from restaurant wine stock
· Greet, seat and take drink and food orders
· Enter orders correctly in POS system
· Ensure that customer dishes are correct and satisfactory
· Take necessary steps to ensure a satisfactory customer experience and resolving all customer issues promptly
· Keep dining and server area neat and pleasant
· Handle payment as prescribed by standard operating procedures
· Work in collaboration with others servers and staff
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Experience in food and beverage industry is preferred
· Ability to fulfill assigned tasks quickly and efficiently
· Calm, professional demeanor
· Ability to correctly enter food/drink orders into computer order system
· Ability to pass required certifications
· Must be at least 18 years old to serve food and 21 years old to serve alcohol
Education/Experience:
· High school or equivalent (preferred)
· Food Service: 1 year (preferred)
· Restaurant Experience: 1 year (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking
· Must be able to lift, balance and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds
