JOB SUMMARY
Installation of HVAC, Residential New Construction Projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Running flue vents for standard and high efficiency furnaces.
- Sealing all duct connections to the plenum with metal tape and duct sealer.
- Running refrigerant line-sets from furnace coil to outside air conditioners
- Installing a furnace and coil in the correct location with 30" of clearance.
- Installing ductwork level and securing it to meet code requirements.
- Installing the kitchen hood vent in the correct location.
- Installing registers securely, square and level to the wall without damage or scratches.
- Installing return air grills that face the right direction with a filter.
- Installing a thermostat level and wiring it correctly.
- How to pressurize your air conditioner with nitrogen to 200 p.s.i. and label it.
- Downspout measure and install
- Brazing refrigerant lines safely and without leaks.
- OSHA 10 training and certification (can we acquired after hire)
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Prior experience construction preferred.
- EPA Certified - a plus
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interface with other Blue Mountain Inc. employees and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Reliable transportation
- Read tape measure
- Punctual and Reliable
- Ability to transport a 6-foot ladder and tools
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Ability to follow directions
- Basic understanding and ability to use hand tools
- Must possess own tools (tools may be provided depending on position)
- Ability to read field drawings.
- Ability to complete all tasks in a timely manner, with minimum supervisor and up to California Code.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical stamina: HVAC Installer/ technicians may work extended amount of hours walking, standing, and may need to be physically active without getting tired.
Bending & Crawling: HVAC Installer/ technicians may work extended amount of hours kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
Lifting: HVAC Installer/ technicians may need to lift large parts and objects, and should be properly trained to safely do so. They should also be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Working in extreme conditions: HVAC Installer/ technicians may need to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on the time of year.
The base pay range for this position is: $21.00 - $27.00.
