Position Overview
The Welder / Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding components and assemblies according to prints, work instructions, and production requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations by producing quality welded assemblies while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication instructions
- Fit, align, clamp, and assemble components prior to welding
- Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, drills, and basic shop machinery
- Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality and dimensional accuracy
- Perform basic material preparation, cleanup, and finishing work
- Maintain welding equipment and work area in safe operating condition
- Identify and report quality concerns, material issues, or equipment problems
- Follow all shop safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work effectively with production, machining, assembly, and engineering teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols
- Familiarity with fabrication tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment
- Ability to perform accurate fit-up and maintain dimensional tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently once trained and contribute to a team environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle materials and assemblies
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the role

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
