Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organized Transportation Operations Manager to oversee daily driver operations, scheduling, and client coordination. This role is responsible for making sure all trips are covered, drivers are on time, and company policies are followed.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, communicates clearly, and can handle issues as they come up without constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily driver schedules and ensure all trips are assigned and covered
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day to confirm arrivals, delays, and issues
- Enforce company policies (clock in/out, breaks, conduct, etc.)
- Handle call-outs and find coverage when needed
- Coordinate with clients to confirm trip details and resolve concerns
- Monitor trip progress and address any service issues in real time
- Keep accurate records of schedules, trips, and driver activity
- Report ongoing issues or concerns to the business owner
Requirements
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or management preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dependable and able to handle responsibility
- Basic computer and smartphone skills required
