The Groundskeeper will be responsible for the upkeep of the facility grounds.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains landscaping including lawns, shrubbery, planted areas, fences, concrete areas, etc.
- Landscapes new ground areas, repairs damaged ground areas, and/or replaces bushes, hedges, shrubs and trees.
- Inspects grounds and equipment daily to ensure safety and identify necessary repairs.
- Performs general maintenance work of the facilities and grounds.
- Cleans grounds and related areas.
- Inspect and perform light maintenance on landscaping maintenance equipment as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ years of landscaping/lawn care experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience using power tools such as weed cutter, lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, blower, etc.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
- Must be able to withstand exposure to the elements -heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, etc.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to walk for long periods of time on different types of terrain.
- Must be able to bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk and reach above shoulder.
