Bring your passion for supporting students with special needs to a dynamic educational setting near Saint Albans, VT. This contract opportunity welcomes dedicated Special Education Teachers and Paraprofessionals (ESP/BI) to make an impact for students in grades K-8 as the new school year begins.
The position starts on August 20th and follows a 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM schedule, offering 37.5 hours per week. Multiple Behavioral Interventionist (BI) roles are available across various grade levels, giving you the chance to leverage your expertise to help students succeed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education, or relevant licensure for Paraprofessionals
- Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs, particularly in K-8 settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with educators and families
- Flexibility in addressing changing needs throughout the school day
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful learning environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support and instruction for students with special needs
- Implement IEPs and collaborate with case managers, teachers, and support staff
- Employ positive behavioral interventions to enhance student engagement and success
- Assist with classroom routines and support participation in a variety of activities
- Use progress monitoring data to inform instructional adjustments
