The IUM (Ili Uusim Mahtawa'apo Pascua Yaqui Head Start) Education Supervisor oversees the IUM Teachers and Co-Teachers educational instruction and related academic programs. Incumbents perform duties including: monitoring compliance with Head Start guidelines and procedures; maintaining and auditing related records; serving as a member of a trans-disciplinary team to assess and identify needs of children in the Ili Uusim program, performing quality reviews on lesson plans to ensure the principles are consistent with early childhood educational standards. Lastly, the Education Supervisor is responsible for evaluating the educational professionals at IUM.
Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or related field, five (5) years of early childhood development education or related program experience, and two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience. A Master's Degree in Education can be substituted for two (2) years of Early Childhood/ Elementary Education experience.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is required, Haiki preferred;

Experience working with Yoeme or American Indian communities, preferred;
Special Requirements:

Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License;

TB Clearance required;

CPR and First Aide required;

Must have a current Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card. Failure to maintain a current Level 1 Clearance Card will result in termination.
