Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Shop Helpers and Production Assistants to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support daily production activities, assist with assembly processes, and ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and organization of the assembly line to ensure efficient workflow
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to support assembly and manufacturing tasks
- Support the movement and handling of materials within the warehouse or production area using forklifts when certified
- Perform basic mechanical tasks, including assembling components and inspecting parts for quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to adhere to safety standards
- Support inventory management by receiving, storing, and documenting materials accurately
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment as needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes
Skills
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred
- Familiarity with assembly line processes and hand tools
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment functions
- Experience operating forklifts; certification is a plus but not mandatory
- Warehouse experience including material handling and inventory management
- Proficiency with power tools used in manufacturing settings
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with clear communication abilities
- Basic understanding of safety procedures relevant to manufacturing environments
