Overview - We are seeking a compassionate Aide to join our team and provide essential care and support to patients in their homes or hospice facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others during challenging times and ensuring the comfort and dignity of patients under hospice care.
*Duties*
- Assist patients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Help with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Monitor and report changes in patient health status to the supervising nurse
- Follow the care plan outlined by the hospice team
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients
*Qualifications*
- Experience in patient care, preferably in hospice or acute care settings
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques
- Familiarity with medical records documentation
- Ability to provide catheter care if needed
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic medical records systems is advantageous
