Retail Sales Associate – McDowell
Welcome to The Window Depot! We are a family owned and operated company that sells windows, doors, skylights, countertops, cabinets, and other millwork products. The Window Depot takes pride in providing quality service and affordable prices. We are currently looking for a Retail Sales Associate to be the face of our company and would be responsible for providing an excellent customer experience by helping customers make selections for their project needs.
Job Description
- Helping customers select the right products and ensuring special orders and quotes are accurate
- Placing special orders and following up through to delivery
- Greeting customers with a friendly smile and seeing that all customer needs are met
- Answering phones and emails
- Handling cash drawer and opening/closing duties
- Help stock merchandise
- Help keep the store clean and safe
Job Requirements
- Must be friendly and professional
- Offer excellent customer service
- Basic math skills and reading a tape measure
- Computer skills: Email, Microsoft Office, and Internet
- Have proper phone etiquette
- Bilingual is a plus
- Millwork experience is a plus
- Must be able to work morning, evening, and Saturday shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Position
Full-time position. Schedule varies between morning, evening shifts including Saturdays. The Window Depot hours are Mon-Fri 7am- 6pm and Saturday’s 8am-4pm. Closed on Sundays.
Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour, Compensation DOE

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger-handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. This job uses a computer, calculator, phone, copier, printer, and fax machine. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
Work is normally performed in a warehouse/loading dock setting with deliveries to offices or laboratories. Sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning; Work may, on occasion, involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
