What You'll Learn
· Center diamond and colored gemstone setting
· Mounting preparation and pre-setting techniques
· Jewelry inspection under magnification
· Stone security and quality standards
· Fine jewelry finishing and quality control
· Professional bench practices and workflow
· Production efficiency while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship
Responsibilities
· Assist experienced setters with daily production
· Learn professional center stone setting techniques
· Prepare mountings for stone setting
· Inspect finished jewelry for quality and accuracy
· Maintain an organized and efficient workspace
· Handle fine jewelry and gemstones with care
· Collaborate with CAD, casting, polishing, and quality control teams
· Continuously develop bench skills through mentorship and training
Qualifications
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Metalsmithing, Industrial Design, or a related field or equivalent bench jewelry experience
· Passion for craftsmanship and fine jewelry
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
· Patience and the ability to perform highly detailed work
· Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
· Strong work ethic and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
· Basic bench jewelry experience
· Experience using microscopes or precision hand tools
· Familiarity with jewelry manufacturing processes
