Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Janitor and Maintenance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, supporting basic building maintenance, and ensuring the facility remains safe, functional, and presentable at all times. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle both custodial and light maintenance duties in a fast paced warehouse environment.
Duties
- Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors throughout the facility.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks to maintain compliance with safety and health standards.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, offices, and all common areas to a high standard.
- Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing to maintain appearance and safety.
- Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks including minor fixes, patching, painting, and general building upkeep.
- Support facility setup needs including assembling basic items, mounting or installing items on walls, and general handyman style tasks.
- Operate forklift as needed for moving materials, pallets, and large items safely and efficiently, if certified.
- Manage cardboard, waste removal, and recycling processes throughout the warehouse and loading areas.
- Assist with moving furniture, office equipment, and warehouse materials as needed.
- Support front office and administrative staff with facility related requests, deliveries, and setup needs.
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked and report any facility issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial work, facilities maintenance, or warehouse support preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks such as painting, repairs, and general building upkeep is a plus.
- Forklift experience or certification is preferred but not required, training may be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and leadership.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
