Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday – Friday, Saturdays as needed)

Position Summary
Classic Carriers is currently hiring a 2nd Shift Yard Spotter servicing a customer in Versailles, OH. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing trailer movements, maintaining site safety, and ensuring seamless communication between warehouse, driver, and dispatch operations.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
- Moving trailers to and from loading docks using a yard truck
- Ensuring the correct positioning of trailers at loading and unloading docks
- Performing routine checks and minor maintenance on the yard truck
- Keeping accurate records of trailer locations within the yard
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse personnel
- Performing visual inspections of trailers for potential damage or issues
- Adhering strictly to safety procedures while operating equipment
Qualifications & Requirements
- CDL Requirement: Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Experience: 2 years of recent verifiable driving or spotting experience (military experience acceptable)
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old
- Driving Record: Must possess an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on company hiring standards
- Regulatory: Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under Section 391 of Federal Motor Carrier regulations
Additional Skills & Qualifications (all a plus)
- Experience operating yard trucks/hostlers in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience in truck and trailer maintenance checks and safety inspections

Expected compensation for this position is $24-$26 per hour based on experience as well as a robust benefits package:
