Southern Field Maintenance is seeking a driven and motivated Outside Sales Representative to develop and grow our customer base in the Victoria and surrounding markets. This position is responsible for building relationships with contractors, municipalities, and business owners while driving rentals along with new and used equipment sales.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where relationship building and follow-through are key to success.
Base Salary Plus Commission
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- MUST HAVE experience in equipment sales and/or rentals
- Ability to understand forklift and construction equipment specs and applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Candidate must live in Victoria or surrounding area
Work responsibilities:
- Call on Customers to identify forklift/heavy equipment Sales, Rental and Service opportunities
- Must use CRM to track daily activity
- Assist and quote all equipment inquiries
- Respond to all customer requests in less than 24 hours
- Provide strategic solutions to customers to ensure 100% conversion, and no customer down-time
- Work with Service to schedule and satisfy Service opportunities
- Conduct outbound calls and follow-up with targeted prospects
- Promote and quote Preventative Maintenance Agreements to all customers
- Educate customers and prospects on available new and used equipment special offers and rental fleet availability
- Identify new prospects to send marketing materials and updates
- Build prospect database by capturing all leads with complete contact information including emails
- Identify and establish meaningful relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts
- Remain current with competitors, industry standards, and practices
- Assist with miscellaneous duties as requested
- Will require daily driving of assigned territory
Other Qualifications:
- Must be available to make sales calls from Monday-Friday, 8-5 pm
- Prefer some post-secondary education
- Must be able to calculate percentages and mark-ups
- Must be professional, have attention to detail, and superior follow-up and organizational skills

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
