Position Objective:
The Giving Place is looking for a motivated, dependable Part-Time Donation Processor to join our team. This position plays an important role in processing and pricing incoming donations while helping create an organized, welcoming shopping experience for our customers.
If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have an eye for value and detail, and enjoy interacting with people, we'd love to meet you. Knowledge of vintage, antiques, collectibles, or current home décor is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Process, sort, and price incoming donations.
- Evaluate the value of donated merchandise, including vintage and current décor items.
- Assist customers by unloading donations from their vehicles.
- Help maintain an organized, clean, and attractive sales floor.
- Work closely with the Store Manager and team members to support daily store operations.
- Provide friendly, courteous customer service to shoppers and donors.
- Perform other retail and merchandising duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Retail, resale, thrift, or merchandising experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of vintage, collectibles, antiques, and home décor is a plus.
- Positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, Saturdays, and occasional holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for the majority of each shift.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds with assistance.
- Reach, bend, stoop, and retrieve merchandise from shelves and the floor.
- Assist with unloading donated items from customers' vehicles.
Other Requirements:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- Ability to work all scheduled hours as needed.
- Employee must have a valid driver's license.
- Background check and drug test may be required.
