Duties
- Assist in preparing, cooking, and plating food items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware (bussing)
- Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Support food service operations by serving guests at the counter or buffet as needed
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Help with setup and breakdown of banquet or event catering services
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of quality food and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist guests effectively
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking, food prep, and customer service
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and bending
