Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. You will handle reservations, greet guests, and manage the cash register while providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude will be key to enhancing guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and efficiency.
- Handle reservations and walk-in guests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Operate the cash register accurately, processing payments and managing transactions efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service delivery.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and payment handling.
- Uphold restaurant policies regarding guest services, phone etiquette, and hospitality standards.
Skills
- Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Strong background in food service and customer service roles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest relations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with guests and team members.
