Our Photographers are responsible for taking clear, dynamic photos according to OSP specifications and creating a positive experience while doing so. Their duties include photographing students and faculty (all ages), gathering and returning paperwork and clearly communicating with Management. The photographer is responsible for driving and keeping track of times and mileage. Drive time will be included in your hourly pay for some jobs. They are responsible for arriving on time as instructed and setting up backdrops, lighting, and other equipment to prepare for the day. The photographers are a key aspect of the company as they establish a face-to-face connection with our schools. It is our goal to find people that have an eye for details as well as people skills to create a positive photo experience for everyone.
A normal day for a Photographer can vary widely depending on the type of shoot they are assigned to each day. With that said, most Photographers’ duties include:
- Communicating with management to set up expectations and preparations for their next photo day
- Maintaining and managing photography equipment
- Working with people from Pre-K to adults such as faculty and staff
- Organization and problem-solving skills
- Working early mornings
- Driving for your job (on occassion for over 60 minutes)
- Able to lift up to 75lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate client schedules
- Knowledge of photography and lighting techniques
- Ability to stand or crouch for hours during photoshoots
- Communication skills
- Energetic and professional manner
