Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Spinneret and Cutter Wheel Attendant, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our textile manufacturing process. This energetic position involves overseeing the safe and efficient functioning of spinnerets and cutter wheels, which are essential components in fiber production. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and visitors. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a lively, collaborative environment focused on precision and excellence.
Responsibilities
Extrusion
Maintain, clean, and inspect the spinnerets at all times.
Inspect and prepare spinnerets for usage.
Monitor wear and tear of spinnerets, identify any defects, and maintain an inventory control log.
Operate related equipment and hand tools for cleaning and inspecting spinnerets, including burn ovens, ultrasonic bath cleaners, pressure washers, drills, and inspection tools.
Break down and rebuild metering pumps.
Burn and clean the extrusion head filters.
Keep all equipment and tools related clean at all times.
Provide a weekly report of spinnerets with any shortfalls or defects identified on spinnerets to the Production Manager.
Stretch Perform routine maintenance and inspection of cutter wheel parts and main components.
Keep track of bale output per cutter and replace blades when the output expectancy has been reached.
Maintain cutter wheel inventory control of all related components.
Measure recycled blades with a caliper to create sets to maintain blade uniformity.
Prepare expired life blades for shipment.
Provide the production manager with a weekly update on the cutter wheels' status. Follow up on any maintenance issues and keep the production manager informed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have knowledge of Microsoft suite.
Must follow all safety procedures.
Must be able to complete all assigned tasks with minimum supervision
Must be able to understand both verbal and written instructions
Physical Demands
The employee must be able to stand for long periods and occasionally sit, climb, walk, stoop, and kneel.
Must be able to work under hot conditions with temperatures reaching up to 130F or higher.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
