Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage the loading and unloading of freight. Our Truck Drivers play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Duties
- Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and straight trucks.
- Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Experience with Moffett piggyback lift is a plus.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
Skills
- Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience with flatbeds, dump trucks, other commercial vehicles.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading purposes.
- Excellent route navigation skills with a focus on efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols.
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
