The Housepersons primary responsibility is to execute and maintain clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of all hotel corridors, vending areas, and department storage facilities. The Houseperson all assists the Room Attendants with the production of guestrooms by delivering and maintaining adequate supplies throughout the day as needed.
Responsibilities:
1. maintaining the inside of the building as well as the outside.
2. Responds to calls as needed by our guests.
3. Ensuring Property Grounds are well kept and clean
4. Prepares linens for cleaning by sorting linens.
5. Cleans linens by operating laundry equipment; adding cleaners and bleaches; setting and adjusting controls.
6. Stacks linens by folding items.
7. Documents inventory by completing logs.
8. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs/warehouse.
9. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures for operating equipment.
10. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
11. Accomplishes laundry and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
- Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
- Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
- Previous hotel houseman experience.
